Job summary

E-ACT The Grange School is seeking a friendly Midday Supervisory Assistant to support lunchtime supervision, dining and pupil wellbeing in a caring primary academy setting. You will help create a safe, inclusive environment and promote positive behaviour among pupils during lunch and play periods.

The role is part-time, term-time only (7.5 hours/week across 38 weeks/year), with qualification requirements including GCSEs or equivalent and basic first-aid awareness. DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Basic first aid awareness; willing to train.
• Good organisation and GCSEs or equivalent.
• School-based experience desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to promote positive behaviour.
• Safeguarding and pupil wellbeing training.
• Teamwork and independent working when needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pupils before, during and after lunchtime.
• Maintain a clean, safe dining environment and encourage tidy routines.
• Supervise outdoor play and recreational activities.
• Assist pupils with difficulties and provide appropriate support.
