Job summary

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) in Wolverhampton is seeking a Part-time Lunchtime Assistant to support pupils during the lunch period, supervising in the dining hall and play areas and assisting with feeding as required.

The permanent role is Grade 2 SCP 4 FTE (£26,016) with an actual of £3,037; you will ensure a safe, supportive lunchtime environment for students, including those with SEND, and work with school staff to meet individual needs. Closing date: 25.09.2026.

Qualifications

• Provide a safe, supportive lunchtime environment for students.
• Support students with SEND to access lunchtime activities.
• Work with kitchen staff to run lunchtime routines smoothly.
• Assist with eating and feeding where required per care plans.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure the lunchtime routines run as smoothly as possible.
• Supervise students during lunchtime in the dining hall, playground, and other designated areas.
• Support students with a range of special educational needs, helping them access and enjoy their lunchtime experience.
• Assist students with eating and drinking, including providing feeding support where required and in line with individual care plans and training.
• Assist with the setup and supervision of lunchtime enrichment clubs and activities when required.
• Work collaboratively with teaching, support, and pastoral staff to meet students' individual needs.
