Job summary

TeacherActive is actively recruiting a Lunchtime Supervisor for a SEND school in Birmingham. The role involves supporting pupils aged 4-18 with SLD, autism and complex needs during the lunchtime period, ensuring safety and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a school or care setting, a good understanding of safeguarding, and a patient, reliable approach. The position is 1.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, paid £14-£15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND or complex needs.
• Experience in a school, SEND or care environment.
• Good safeguarding and pupil wellbeing understanding.
• Patient and caring approach.
• Confidence supporting children with additional needs.
• Reliable and adaptable

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime, ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Provide appropriate support to pupils with SLD, autism and complex needs.
• Promote safeguarding and positive behaviour during lunchtime.
• Maintain a calm and inclusive lunchtime environment.
