Job summary

Calthorpe School is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils aged 3–19 at lunchtime across the school. The role is term-time only, 1.5 hours per day (11:45am–1:15pm) and involves feeding or supervising feeding and supervising play in the playground, with a focus on safety and calm coordination with staff.

Responsibilities

• Feed or supervise feeding of children aged 3–19 across the school.
• Manage pupils moving between classes, hall and outdoor play; provide physical support if needed and ensure safety.
• Supervise the playground to keep pupils safe and encourage play.
• Manage pupil behaviour as required.
• Assist with toileting needs for pupils, including nappies or pads where necessary.
• In Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties classes assist with feeding and hoist-related tasks; able to lift and handle pupils.
