Job summary

Charlton Horethorne Primary School, part of Dorset Council, is seeking a caring Midday Supervisor. You will supervise children at lunchtime in the dining hall and playground, ensuring a safe, inclusive environment during the school day.

The role is permanent, part-time (8.75 hours per week), Monday to Friday 11:45am–1:30pm, term time plus inset days. Salary is £4,966 per annum, with monthly payments and annual adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with supervising children during lunch or breaks.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and child welfare understanding.
• Calm, patient, and dependable team player.
• Ability to follow school policies and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunch and playtime in dining hall and playground.
• Encourage positive behaviour and good table manners.
• Support lunchtime needs of children.
