Job summary

Consett Junior School is seeking a Part Time Lunchtime Supervisor to oversee pupils during the lunch period. The role runs 11:50am to 1:05pm, term-time only, starting October 2026.

You will be part of a supportive team, promoting safe, enjoyable lunchtime activities and healthy eating. The successful candidate will have experience with primary school children, be flexible, and able to work well within a team, with a willingness to undertake training and follow school policies.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children of primary school age.
• Flexible and able to work well within a team.
• Willing to undertake training and follow school policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children outdoors during lunch period.
• Organise and implement outdoor games and activities.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour within the school policies.
• Respond to the needs and interests of children.
• Supervise in the dining room, playground, corridors or other areas as timetabled.
• Communicate effectively with pupils and staff and support inclusive play.
