Job summary

E‑ACT The Grange School is a welcoming primary academy in Daventry seeking a friendly Midday Supervisory Assistant. You will supervise lunchtime play and dining, promote positive behaviour and support pupil wellbeing within a caring school community.

The role is part‑time (7.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year) with responsibilities including maintaining a safe dining environment and assisting pupils as needed. Training and safeguarding are integral to this position.

Qualifications

• Basic first aid awareness or willingness to train.
• Good organisation and general education (e.g. GCSEs or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with pupils and staff.
• Ability and experience of managing behaviour positively in line with school policies.
• Caring, proactive safeguarding and pupil wellbeing mindset.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pupils before, during and after lunchtime.
• Maintaining a clean, safe dining environment and encouraging tidy behaviour.
• Supervising pupils during outdoor play and recreational activities.
• Assist pupils with difficulties during lunchtime and provide appropriate support.
