Job summary

Goring CE Primary School is seeking a dedicated Midday Meals Supervisor to oversee lunch periods, promote positive play and assist with pastoral care. The role runs term-time only for 8.5 hours per week (11:25–1:05) with a pro rata salary.

Training will cover basic first aid and safeguarding responsibilities, including setting up and clearing the hall for lunchtimes. The successful candidate will engage children, model positive behaviour, and work as part of a supportive team within a caring

Qualifications

• Engage and motivate children during lunchtimes to promote friendship and teamwork.
• Support children with pastoral care and positive behaviour.
• Provide minor first aid after relevant training.
• Be able to set up and clear away the lunch area and hall.
• Be proactive and open to feedback to improve practice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children at lunchtimes and during meals.
• Promote positive play, teamwork, and friendship.
• Support pastoral care and well-being of pupils.
• Set up the main hall for lunches and assist with packing away.
• Provide basic first aid as trained and required.
