Job summary

Durrington All Saints Church of England Infant School in Salisbury is seeking a reliable Midday Supervisory Assistant to supervise and assist pupils during lunchtime. You will help manage dining activities and support play both indoors and outdoors, ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for all children.

The role is part-time, 7.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday over 38 weeks per year, with a focus on teamwork and child welfare.

Qualifications

• Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and are able to work with a variety of pupils and staff.
• Is self-motivated, detail‑oriented, organised and able to deal with new challenges.
• Is a strong team player who can use their own initiative and has a flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supervising and assisting children in the dining area and during inside/outside play.
• Assist with preparing and cleaning the dining area after lunch and serving meals to children.
• Support other staff to ensure the lunchtime period runs smoothly and the safety and enjoyment of all children.
