Job summary

Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust seeks a Midday Supervisory Assistant to support pupils during the midday break, supervising in the dining hall and outdoors as needed to ensure a safe, calm and happy lunchtime.

This permanent, term-time role offers part-time hours, with duties including assisting meals, basic cleaning and responding to minor incidents, while upholding safeguarding procedures and the school's Christian ethos.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are required as training can be provided.
• Experience of working with children or in a school setting would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during the midday break, ensuring their safety, welfare and good conduct.
• Support pupils in the dining hall, including moving to and from dining areas.
• Assist pupils with meals where necessary (e.g. trays, cutlery, drinks).
• Maintain good order and behaviour during lunchtime.
• Assist with clearing tables, wiping surfaces and dealing with spillages.
• Carry out minor first aid and report accidents or incidents appropriately.
• supervise pupils on the playground or external areas when required.
• Work closely with other staff and fully comply with safeguarding procedures.
