Job summary

Oakdene Primary Academy are seeking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor to support lunch times. You will ensure that all our children have meaningful lunchtime play every day.

You will work as a member of the Lunchtime Supervisory Team to create a safe and stimulating outdoor environment providing social, active and creative play experiences for all. This role involves ensuring a pleasant eating experience at lunchtime and supporting children during breaks, with First Aid training desired and

• Has experience working with children.
• Kind, caring, nurturing and approachable.
• Is able to facilitate play opportunities.
• Can offer care, support, and advice during lunchtime.
• Has or is willing to complete First Aid training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lunchtime play to ensure safety and active engagement.
• Support eating times and help children have a pleasant lunchtime experience.
• Collaborate with Lunchtime Supervisory Team to manage outdoor spaces.

Working Hours: 5 hours per week

Working Weeks: Term-time only (38 weeks per year)

Salary Scale Range: NJC Point 3 (actual starting salary £2916 per annum)

This team are also responsible for ensuring all our children have a pleasant eating experience at lunchtime, whilst maximising the time they can spend outside playing.

• Ideally has experience of working with children.
• Can facilitate play opportunities
• Can offer care, support, and advice for children during lunchtime.
• Has, or is willing to complete, First Aid training.
