Job summary

Ysgol Cae'r Gwenyn is seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant to help keep pupils safe and enjoy their lunch hour. The role offers 5 hours per week across 38 weeks per year on a temporary basis from 02/11/2026 to 31/08/2027.

You will support the safety, wellbeing and happiness of pupils during midday breaks, bringing a patient, calm manner and reliability. An Enhanced DBS is required, and bilingual Welsh/English capability is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS is required.
• Experience of working with young children is desirable but not essential.
• Candidate should be patient, calm and able to work well in a team.
• Ability to follow safeguarding principles and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the safety, wellbeing and happiness of children during their midday break.
• Assist with supervision and behaviour management during lunch-time.
