Job summary

Lift Hamford is seeking a dedicated midday supervisor to help create a safe and positive lunchtime experience for pupils. You will supervise in dining areas, playgrounds, and across the school site, promoting a welcoming and secure break for every child.

The role focuses on being present, alert and supportive, with responsibilities including supervising activities, upholding behaviour standards, and promptly reporting concerns to staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children or young people.
• Calm and composed when busy or challenging.
• Clear and warm communication with pupils.
• Patient, empathetic and supportive of young people.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime in dining areas, playgrounds and shared spaces.
• Uphold behaviour policy and manage conflicts fairly and consistently.
• Support pupil wellbeing and monitor distress or bullying.
• Keep spaces clean and safe; clear tables and hazards quickly.
• Organise and supervise lunchtime activities or clubs as needed.
• Share concerns with teaching and pastoral staff promptly.
