Job summary

The Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to supervise children during school lunchtimes, under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team. The role is Grade Band B SCP 4–8, with annual pay £25,584 - £26,824 and a pro rata figure for term-time (£4,527 - £4,747).

The post requires promoting safety and positive behaviour at lunchtimes and may involve other duties to support the school’s objectives. Hours are 7 hours 30 minutes per week, term time.

Responsibilities

• Escorting children to and from class to the dining room
• Assisting the children with table manners, use of cutlery, cutting of meat, serving etc.
• Supervision of return of table equipment to ‘Returns’ counter
• Cleaning up any spillages in the Dining Room classroom and toilets
• Supervision of children before and after the meal and playground duty
• Organising games and activities in line with school’s policy for enrichment activities

The primary purpose of the role

Working under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team to supervise children during the school lunch time.

Duties and responsibilities

Such other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post or to assist the school in the fulfilment of its objectives commensurate with the post holder’s salary grade, abilities and aptitudes.
