Job summary

Roman Road Primary School in London is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor on a temporary contract to Feb 2027, with possible extension. The role runs Monday to Friday, 11:30 am to 12:45 pm, term-time 39 weeks. Inter­views are scheduled for the week commencing 2 November 2026.

You will supervise children, respond to their needs, promote safety and contribute to a supportive school community. A safeguarding DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of dealing with children either in a domestic or work environment.
• Knowledge of an ability to supervise children.
• Ability to understand children’s behaviour and to respond to their needs in varying circumstances.
• Understanding of basic issues of hygiene and child safety.
• Ability to act quickly and responsibly in the event of accidents or untoward circumstances.
• Ability to communicate well with children.
• Ability to undertake all duties in line with the Council’s Equal Opportunities policy.

We are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor at Roman Road Primary School.
