Job summary

Knightsfield School is seeking a reliable lunchtime supervisor to help oversee pupils during the lunch break. You will work as part of a team to supervise and care for pupils in designated areas and support positive behaviour under the school's Step-on approach (training will be provided).

Role requires promoting healthy eating, distributing and collecting play equipment, and liaising with staff to address issues.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Proof of right to work in the UK.

Job description

You would be working as part of a wider team of lunchtime supervisors, and duties will include:

• Supervision and care of pupils in designated areas during lunchtime;
• Distribution and collection of play equipment;
• Working as part of a team with other break and lunchtime supervisors;
• Supporting the school's positive approach to discipline (using the Step-on method, training to be provided);
• Ensuring supportive relationships are being formed with and between pupils, resolving any problems between them;
• Alerting Senior Leadership via walkie-talkie if assistance is required;
• Alerting the school office in the event of a pupil injury;
• Promoting Healthy Eating amongst pupils eating a packed lunch;
• Ensuring the Child Protection and Health & Safety Policies are adhered to at all times;
• Liaising with Form Tutors and/or Senior Leadership as necessary, to ensure they are aware of issues relating to individual pupils;
