Job summary

Earlsdon Primary School in Coventry is seeking a part-time, permanent Lunchtime Supervisor for 10 hours per week (11:15am–1:15pm, across 5 days). You will help supervise pupils, promote positive behaviour and wellbeing, and support school values during lunch.

The role requires a friendly, reliable individual who can create a safe lunchtime environment. First Aid training is essential or must be willing to train.

Qualifications

  • Must have Right to Work in the UK.
  • Willingness to complete First Aid training if not already qualified.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of children during lunchtime.
  • Create play opportunities and engage children in activities.
  • Administer first aid if required (training provided).
  • Assist pupils with developing eating skills.
  • Maintain dining room cleanliness and set up/clear away play equipment.

Contract Type: Part Time Permanent

Salary Range: Grade 2 Pt 2

Working Hours: 10 hours per week (across 5 days – Monday to Friday) Working hours 11.15am till 1.15pm

The role involves engaging children in play activities and promoting positive relationships.

Applicants must show enthusiasm, enjoy working with children and be either First Aid trained or be willing to complete First Aid training.

Duties will include:

  • Being responsible for securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of our children during lunchtime, following the procedures of the school
  • Creating play opportunities for children, physically able to engage all children in play, e.g. skipping, dancing, basketball, table tennis and the outdoor gym
  • Administering first aid (training will be given)
  • Assisting pupils with developing their eating skills
  • Ancillary services such as cleaning up the dining room and setting up and putting away play equipment.
