Job summary

Summerfield Primary School is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to join a friendly team during term time. The role is permanent, 6.25 hours per week across five days, with duties including leading activities, setting up and clearing away equipment, and supervising lunchtime play while supporting children’s table manners.

Applicants should be committed to safeguarding, ready for enhanced DBS checks, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and staff.

Job description

Lunchtime Supervisor x 2

Salary: Grade 2 scale point 3-8

Role: 6.25 hours per week over 5 days, Term Time Only

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: To be agreed

We are looking for a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our friendly team to contribute towards a safe, happy and engaging lunchtime provision.

You will:

  • Share our commitment to the values and behaviours at Summerfield Primary School
  • Have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Be willing to undergo appropriate checks, including enhanced DBS checks
  • Be motivated to work with children and young people
  • Have the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people
  • Foster excellent working relationships with colleagues and families

About the role

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead activities. This includes setting up and clearing away equipment
  • Support children in their table manners
  • Supervise children playing with one another and resolving conflict effectively
  • Work as part of the Summerfield team
  • Safeguarding children and young people
