Job summary

TLTP Education is seeking a Midday Supervisor / SEN TA to join a supportive primary school in Havering. You will provide 1:1 lunchtime support to pupils, including those with ASD, complex needs or communication difficulties, helping them feel safe and engaged.

You will work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to implement individual strategies, manage lunchtime interactions, and promote positive behaviour and independence.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or SEN setting.
• Experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs or communication difficulties.
• Patient, caring and approachable.
• Able to build positive relationships and provide 1:1 support.
• Reliable with immediate start.
• Works well as part of a school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to pupils during lunchtime.
• Support pupils with ASD, complex needs and speech and language delays.
• Help pupils manage social interactions and communication during lunchtime.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Encourage independence and positive relationships with peers.
• Supervise dining hall and playground areas.
• Follow school procedures and individual strategies.
• Work with teachers and the SEN team.
