Job summary

Woolmer Hill School is seeking a lunchtime supervisor to help keep pupils safe and well-behaved during the midday break in the dining hall and playground. You will support children with lining up, using cutlery, and eating with encouragement of good manners, while promoting a calm, inclusive atmosphere.

The role emphasises safeguarding, teamwork with staff, and responding to minor incidents or first aid as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunchtime in the dining hall, playground, and classrooms as required.
• Ensure pupils' safety at all times following school policies.
• Deal with minor incidents and first aid as appropriate, reporting concerns to senior staff.
• Support children with lining up and using cutlery where needed.
• Encourage good table manners and positive social behaviour.
• Assist younger pupils with eating and promote independence.
• Assist with cleaning up the dining area during lunch and after lunch.
• Promote inclusive, positive play during break times.
• Support the emotional wellbeing of all pupils.
• Follow safeguarding policies and report concerns immediately.
