Job summary

BROOMWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL is seeking a Midday Assistant to join our team at Timperley, Altrincham. The role involves supporting the children’s independence during lunch, supervising EYFS and KS1 pupils during lunchtime play, and encouraging outdoor play activities.

It also includes light cleaning and promoting a caring lunchtime environment. The position is fixed-term until the end of the academic year, with term-time hours.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children.
• Is able to lead games for the children to join in.
• Is able to implement the school’s relational belonging policy.
• Is proactive and works as a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the children’s independence with their eating in the dining room.
• Supervise children across EYFS and KS1 during lunch play.
• Encourage outdoor play activities.
