Job summary

Alderman Bolton Primary Academy is seeking a reliable Midday Assistant to join our friendly team and help provide a safe, positive lunchtime experience for our children. The role is Grade 2, SCP 3, 6.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday during term time, 11:30am–1:30pm, fixed-term until 31 July 2027 with a start date in December 2026.

You will supervise lunchtimes across the dining hall and playground, promote good manners, support children at mealtimes, and help prepare and clear the dining

Qualifications

• Experience with children or in a school environment is desirable.
• First Aid knowledge or qualifications would also be desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Reliability, punctuality and a flexible approach are important.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunchtimes in dining hall and playground.
• Promote good manners and positive behaviour.
• Support children at mealtimes where needed.
• Help prepare and clear the dining area including movement and storage of furniture.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and first aid procedures.
