Job summary

Firs Primary School in Sale, Cheshire, is recruiting a Midday Assistant to supervise lunchtime routines (12:00–13:35) for children aged 4–11. The role is 8.25 hours per week during term time, permanent, and paid via NJC Band 1, Points 3 (£25,614 FTE) with a pro rata of £4,886 per annum.

Start date 13 November 2026 (ASAP subject to DBS and references). You will supervise lunchtimes in the Dining Hall and assist play in the playground, working closely with colleagues as part of the Midday

Qualifications

• Good communication with children and staff.
• Friendly, positive outlook and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children aged 4–11 during lunchtime in the Dining Hall.
• Support and encourage play in the playground and interact with the children.
• Be a strong team player who can work flexibly with the wider Midday Assistants team.
• Follow school policies and participate in training and CPD as required.
