Job summary

Little Angels Nursery in Nantwich is seeking a motivated Lunchtime Assistant to join our team on a term time basis, 12.00pm–2.00pm, Monday to Friday.

You will supervise and support children aged 2–4 during lunchtime, help with packed lunches, and participate in delivering high‑quality activities.

Role requires safeguarding commitment; DBS checks and two satisfactory references are required, with a 6‑month probation.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 childcare qualification desirable but not essential.
• Caring and compassionate, quick to learn and able to make a difference to the team.
• Safeguarding awareness and commitment to children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Assist children during lunchtime with packed lunches and supervision.
• Identify and meet the needs of children during staff lunch periods.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures and practices at all times.
• Foster positive working relationships with children and staff.
• Work with children aged 2–4 years.
• Assist with delivering high quality fun activities.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join us as a Lunchtime Assistant.

Monday to Friday 12.00pm to 2.00pm Term Time Only

You will be under the supervision and guidance of senior staff, and you will provide the highest level of care for children attending the nursery.

• To assist the children during lunchtime with packed lunches and to provide support and supervision.
• The individual needs of children are identified and met during staff lunch periods.
• Company policies, procedures and operational practices are adhered to at all times.
• Positive working relationships with children and staff.
• To work with a variety of age groups from 2-4 years.
• To assist with delivering high quality fun activities.
• Work as a team member.

A level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare is desirable but not necessary. We are looking for a caring and compassionate individual who is quick to learn and can make a difference to our team.

This position is subject to receiving 2 satisfactory references, completion of a 6 month probationary period and relevant DBS checks, and signing up to the update service yearly.
