Job summary

FALLINGS PARK PRIMARY SCHOOL is seeking a lunchtime supervisor who enjoys working with children and understands the importance of positive relationships. The role requires calm organisation, safeguarding awareness and the ability to promote inclusive, safe play during lunch breaks.

You will organise lunchtime activities, communicate clearly with pupils and parents, and support the wider life of the school. Strong spoken English and reliability are important attributes.

Qualifications

• Enjoys working with children and understands the importance of positive relationships.
• Calm, organised and able to respond effectively to a range of situations.
• Promotes positive behaviour and ensures all children feel safe, happy and included (including those with SEND).
• Proactive in organising lunchtime activities and encouraging active play.
• Communicates clearly and professionally with pupils, parents and staff.
• Understands safeguarding, health and safety and pupil wellbeing; reports incidents as required.
• Ensures health and safety of pupils at all times and follows the school process for reporting incidents.
• Flexible, reliable and contributes to the wider life of the school.
• Confidence using school communication and safeguarding systems, or willingness to learn, would be welcomed.
• Strong spoken English and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supportive lunchtime environment by engaging with pupils and coordinating activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing during lunchtimes.
• Report safeguarding concerns and incidents in line with school procedures.
• Work with staff to ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming school environment.

• Confidence using school communication and safeguarding systems, or willingness to learn, would be welcomed.
• Has strong spoken English and communication skills.
