Job summary

eTeach UK Limited is seeking a Lunchtime Learning Support Assistant (Secondary) to join our Teaching Team. This Permanent, Part-Time role runs Monday to Friday from 11:00am to 14:30pm, with no work during school holidays, and begins Autumn Term 2026.

You will support children during lunch and playtime, promote positive behaviour, maintain lunch and play areas, and assist teachers and staff. Experience with SEN, particularly Autism, is desirable and essential for success in this nurturing

Qualifications

• Excellent English skills (spoken and written) with good literacy.
• Experience working with children with SEN, especially Autism.
• Ability to support small groups of children with complex needs.
• Resilience to manage challenging situations in lunch-time and play-time.
• Promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to children during lunch and play time; promote positive behaviour.
• Ensure lunch and play areas are clean and tidy during and after sessions.
• Set up and clear equipment and resources during lunch and play time.
• Provide TA cover during colleagues' lunch breaks.
• Liaise with Teachers, Therapists and staff.

Lunchtime Learning Support Assistant (Secondary)

The role is a Permanent, Part-Time only role.

Monday – Friday: (11:00am – 14:30pm)

No working required during school holidays.

Salary from: £9,924 per annum.

To Start: Autumn Term 2026.

We have a lovely opportunity for an enthusiastic Lunch-Time Assistant to join our Teaching Team, supporting children during lunch time and at play time.

What the role involves:

• Providing support to children during lunch and at play time, promoting positive behaviour.
• Ensuring the lunch and play areas and are clean and tidy before, during and after lunch.
• Setting up and clearing up equipment and resources during lunch time and play time.
• Providing Teaching Assistant cover while colleagues have their lunch.
• Liaising with Teachers, Therapists and staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning and working with children.
• Excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills.
• The ability to build good workingrelationships with children, teachers, parents and carers.
• Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN), particularly children on the Autism Spectrum.
• The ability to manage a small group of children with complex social communication needs.
• The ability to promote positive behaviour in a nurturing environment is essential.
• Supporting our students can sometimes be challenging, mental and physical resilience are qualities necessary for all our staff.
