Job summary

Toad Hall Nursery in Wellingborough is seeking a Lunchtime Assistant for 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 11am–3pm, all year round. Immediate start available and salary from £12.71 per hour.

You will support children aged 0–5 with activities aligned to the EYFS framework, ensuring a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment. This role values hands-on childcare experience and a proactive team player.

Qualifications

• Hands-on childcare experience is a plus.
• Experience in nursery/early years settings preferred.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support daily care and supervision of children aged 0–5.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lunchtime Assistant to join our welcoming team in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands‑on childcare experience who is passionate about early years education and creating a nurturing environment for young children to thrive.

While this position is open to unqualified applicants, previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or early years setting is essential.

About the Role

As a Lunchtime Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help deliver engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for every child.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the daily care and supervision of children aged 0–5
• Assisting in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
