Job summary

Childbase Partnership Limited is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to cover lunch breaks at Highbury Lodge Day Nursery in Hitchin. This permanent, part-time role offers 20 hours per week across 52 weeks, with a pattern of 10:00–14:00, Monday to Friday.

Candidates should be nurturing with baby and early years experience; a DfE approved early years qualification is advantageous; EYFS knowledge preferred. The post supports safeguarding, observations, and learning through play.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for babies and children aged five and under.
• Knowledge of early years development and learning through play.

Responsibilities

• Support babies and young children with engaging play and activities.
• Contribute to observations for children’s learning journeys.
• Safeguard and promote wellbeing and safety of children.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support individual needs.
