Kiddi Caru Matford Green in Exeter is seeking an Early Years Practitioner for lunch cover to join our friendly nursery team. You will help care for and support young children, encouraging curiosity and safe play.

This role is part of Grandir UK and includes flexible hours, generous benefits, and ongoing opportunities for progression within a supportive, child‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery.
• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties.
• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms.
• Ensure that EYFS requirements are met in practice and provision.
• Provide professional feedback to parents/carers about their child.
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers.
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff.
• Ensure staff maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers.

What will you be doing

• Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
• Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
• Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
• Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
• Ensure that practiceand provision in the nurserymeets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
• Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
• Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
• Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
