Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream primary school in Bristol to recruit a Learning Support Assistant. The role provides day-to-day support across Key Stage 1, working with teachers to back learning, encourage positive behaviour and help create an engaging classroom environment.

The position is temporary in Bristol, with hourly pay of £14.25–£15.50 and start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting.
• Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1.
• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Adaptability and excellent classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support across Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning, encourage positive behaviour and help create an engaging classroom environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting
• Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1
• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
