TeacherActive Limited is recruiting a caring Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged children with SEN at a Torbay school. The role involves providing tailored classroom support, as well as practical and physical assistance to help pupils feel safe, included and confident in their learning.

This long-term position starts in November and offers ongoing CPD courses, 24/7 consultant support, and market-leading pay.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Torbay that supports children across the primary age range. The school is looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent support and help pupils with SEN feel safe, included and confident in their learning.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from November. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils with SEN across different age groups, providing tailored classroom support and appropriate practical and physical assistance while promoting independence, engagement and positive behaviour.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEN
• Experience working with primary-aged children
• Confidence providing appropriate practical and physical support where required
• A patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
