Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Exeter to recruit a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from November. You will support pupils across the primary age range, working alongside class teachers to enhance learning and engagement.

You should have experience with primary pupils, strong communication and teamwork, good classroom and behaviour management, and a patient, positive approach adaptable to different year groups.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from November, supporting pupils across the primary age range. The successful Teaching Assistant will work alongside class teachers to support learning, provide individual and small-group assistance, help manage classroom activities and encourage positive behaviour and engagement.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting
• Experience supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good classroom and behaviour management skills
• A patient and positive approach
• The ability to adapt to different pupils and year groups
