United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a Software Engineer to help maintain and extend the Web runtime for browser-based real-time content. You will work with C++, C#, and JavaScript on a platform embedded inside the browser, learning from experienced teammates and shipping to developers worldwide.

The role emphasizes low-level performance, profiling, and collaboration across a distributed team, with opportunities to grow and contribute to high-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on development with C++ on a real-world platform.
• Familiarity with C# and/or JavaScript in a production setting.
• Curiosity about browser internals over generic web development.
• Ability to profile, debug and optimize native code.
• Clear written and verbal communication within a distributed team.
• Forward-thinking approach to low-level engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and extend the Web runtime features and fixes.
• Improve download size, load time and startup performance.
• Develop, profile, debug and optimize across C++, C# and JavaScript.
• Scope work with managers, following established code patterns.
• Investigate and fix issues raised by internal teams and developers.
• Keep pace with evolving browser capabilities and share learnings.
