Job summary

Sodexo Live! Birmingham Airport, Terminal 1 Emirates Lounge, is hiring a Lounge Cleaner to maintain a pristine lounge environment for guests.

The role involves cleaning lounges and public areas, ensuring furniture is set per plan, and maintaining cleanliness across all touchpoints. We offer a 35-hour week with 2-on/2-off rotations (07:00-14:30 and 14:00-21:30) and an hourly rate of £13.35–£13.95, plus numerous employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong cleaning background.
• You must be able to provide 5 years working history and 5 years address.
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented.
• Able to work on your own initiative within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure lounge and seating areas are clean and arranged per the lounge plan.
• Clean all public areas including toilets.
• Vacuum upholstered furniture and recesses; dust surfaces and furniture below two metres.
• Dust walls, doors, paintwork, skirting, and ceiling air vents.
• Empty waste bins, wipe replacements, and vacuum carpets as needed.

Package Description

• £13.35 - 13.95 per hour
• 35hr per week contract
• 4 on 2 off shift pattern (2 early, 2 late, 2 off) 07:00-14:30 & 14:00-21:30.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure that the lounge and seating area is clean, sofa chairs and tables are arranged per the lounge plan.
• All public areas - including toilets
• Vacuum recesses in upholstered furniture.
• Dust all surfaces, fittings, frames, signage and furniture below two metres.
• Dust and spot clean all skirting.
• Spot clean all walls, doors and paintwork.
• Dust wall surfaces.
• Clear and vacuum all carpeted areas paying attention to corners.
• Clean and polish all hard floor surfaces.
• Dust ceiling air vents.
• Empty waste bins, as necessary. Wipe clean and replace bin liners when required.
• Vacuum the carpets to remove all obvious soil, dirt and crumbs.
• Clean and wipe chairs and sofas.
