Job summary

Sodexo Live! at Manchester Airport Terminal 1 is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support high-volume catering operations. Shifts include early mornings and afternoons to cover event schedules, with a path to permanent employment after references are secured.

You will uphold strict hygiene standards, assist with cleaning of equipment, waste disposal, and ensure a safe, clean working environment in a busy airport setting. Flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Basic food hygiene knowledge and safe cleaning practices.
• Proactive and highly motivated to support busy airport operations.
• Airport lounge experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hygiene and safety in line with regulations.
• Clean heavy catering equipment and assist with air filter/extraction systems.
• Empty bins and separate waste according to regulations.
• Operate industrial dishwashers and glasswashers in catering areas.
• Move provisions and catering items as needed.
• Keep the working area clean at all times with emphasis on hygiene.

Main Responsibilities

• To ensure that the Company's and statutory regulations regarding hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are complied with and all tasks undertaken according to Safeguard regulations.
• To clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
• Empty bins and ensure waste is separated as per the regulations
• To dispose of waste materials from catering areas to designated compactors
• To operate industrial dishwashers and glasswashers in all catering areas.
• To transport provisions, equipment and other catering related items as required.
• To maintain clean working environment at all times, with special regard to hygiene

The Ideal Candidate

• Basic food hygiene
