Job summary

Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in Sussex is seeking an experienced Lounge & Bar Manager to lead the Lounge & Bar operations, ensuring exceptional hospitality and service for guests.

You will train and support a dedicated team, set service standards with the Food and Beverage Manager, manage stock and up-selling, and foster strong relationships with residents and guests in a rural setting requiring own transport.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete operation and administration of the Lounge & Bar department.
• Support and train our dedicated teams to enable them to give their best to our guests.
• Greet guests, present menus, and take orders as required.
• Set the standards in the Lounge & Bar in conjunction with the Food and Beverage Manager.
• Ensure the quality of food and beverage produce is of the highest standard at all times.
• Be an ambassador for Ashdown Park Hotel and promote all services and events to all guests.
• Imbed a sales philosophy within the departments to encourage up-selling at all times.
• Exercise control over food, beverages and equipment to ensure stock checks.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Lounge & Bar Manager at the four red star Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in the heart of Sussex. The service offered from this department includes our Drawing Rooms serving morning coffee, light lunches, and traditional afternoon teas in addition to our Cocktail Bar serving pre and post dinner drinks and supporting the Restaurant with drinks during service.

Key responsibilities

• To manage the complete operation and administration of the Lounge & Bar department.
• Support and train our dedicated teams to enable them to give their best to our guests.
• Be a presence and host within the Front Hall/Lounge or Bar area as required to greet guests, present menus and take orders as required.
• Set the standards in the Lounge & Bar in conjunction with the Food and Beverage Manager.
• Ensure the quality of food and beverage produce is of the highest standard at all times.
• Be an ambassador for Ashdown Park Hotel and promote all services and events to all guests.
• Imbed a sales philosophy within the departments to encourage up-selling at all times.
• Exercise control over food, beverages and equipment to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly stock checks.
