Job description

Mega Mitre10 Brougham St is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to work Tuesday to Saturday, 42.5 hours per week.

Loss Prevention/Store Security Responsibilities:

1. Monitor the shop floor and external areas for suspicious or potentially fraudulent activities throughout the day.
2. Ensure the safety of all personnel at all times.
3. Reduce shrinkage by promoting profit protection and loss prevention across all store areas.
4. Create and maintain a secure environment by detecting and deterring theft and fraud.
5. Assist managers in reviewing camera footage and preparing reports as needed.
6. Communicate issues and concerns promptly to the leadership team.
7. Use professional verbal and non-verbal communication.
8. Maintain awareness of shoplifters or suspicious behavior.
9. Regularly update team members on suspect customers.
10. Ensure transactions at the Drive Thru exit are processed accurately.
11. Share and gather intelligence via the community loss prevention platform.
12. Support management in implementing security procedures.
13. Collaborate with the store's network to prevent loss and harm.
14. Promote safety and wellbeing through training and coaching.
15. Communicate effectively with team members, security providers, and law enforcement.
16. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
