Loss Adjuster

Are you looking to elevate your career while having more time to connect with your customers? Aviva is offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Loss Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you'll handle large property claims and enjoy the benefits of working directly with a leading insurer.

We are currently seeking a Loss Adjuster for a home-based position, visiting customers in the Leeds, Yorkshire, and M62 corridor area. To be considered, you must have a full UK driving license and reside in this region, as customer visits are an integral part of the role.

About the job:

You will be responsible for providing a customer-focused and cost-effective service by handling property claims from instruction to completion, ensuring all claims are managed within agreed financial authority limits. The role is based from home and involves reasonable travel across the UK. Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends, are embraced, and a company car is provided for travel.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

As part of Aviva’s Major Complex Claims team, we’re excited to welcome an experienced insurance professional with a passion for handling high-value and complex property claims.

  • High-Value Claims Experience: Ideally, you have experience with claims around £100,000, but we’re happy to consider those with experience over £50,000.
  • Professional Growth: A minimum qualification of Cert CII or CILA is required. If you’re aiming for Dip CII, that’s fantastic! However, it’s not mandatory.
  • Technical Know-How: A deep understanding of insurance principles, subrogation, underwriting practices, and ABI report writing is highly valued.
  • Building Practices Insight: Knowledge of building practices and regulations for property reinstatements and tendering processes is a plus.
  • Customer Focus: Proven experience in managing claims from start to finish, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
