Job summary

Virgin Active is seeking a Technical Lead – Longevity to join the Digital & Technology Transformation Team. This permanent, full-time role leads the technical direction across the longevity proposition for mobile apps, backend services, APIs and integrations.

It is a hands-on position requiring guidance of engineers and delivery of secure, scalable solutions. Key requirements include significant software engineering experience with leadership, strong mobile and backend skills, and expertise in

Qualifications

Significant software engineering experience including leadership roles.
Experience guiding engineers and setting technical direction across full stack.
Strong hands-on experience with mobile apps and backend services.
Backend development with C#/.NET, preferably in Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge of APIs, integrations and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical direction and delivery of the longevity proposition across mobile app, backend services, APIs and integrations.
Guide engineers and ensure secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive engineering excellence.
Advise on architecture, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
