Job summary
Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a Science Teacher for a secondary school in Cheshire West from January to April 2027. The role involves delivering engaging Science lessons and supporting pupils in developing scientific understanding.
The position is full-time, with responsibilities including planning, preparation, teaching and assessment across Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply and candidates must be able to commit for the duration of the spring
Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
- Experience teaching Science in a secondary school.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons.
- Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics content within the timetable.
- Developing pupils' scientific knowledge, enquiry and analytical skills.
- Delivering theoretical and practical learning activities.
- Supporting pupils with scientific calculations and problem-solving.
- Assessing progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Differentiating lessons to meet varying abilities.
- Maintaining positive classroom behaviour.
- Following laboratory health and safety procedures.
- Working collaboratively with departmental colleagues.
