TeacherActive is seeking a reliable School Caretaker for a large secondary school in Sunderland. The role covers general maintenance and maintaining a safe, secure environment for pupils and staff.

The successful candidate will have prior caretaker or premises experience, good health and safety knowledge, and the ability to work across a large site. Long-term contract with potential to go permanent for the right person.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance or premises role is ideal.
• Experience carrying out general maintenance tasks.
• Good knowledge and awareness of health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively across a large school site.
• A practical and proactive approach to work.
• Reliability and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance across the school site and support day-to-day upkeep.
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across a large site.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, secure and well-kept environment for pupils and staff.
