TeacherActive is recruiting a School Caretaker in Darlington on a long-term basis, with potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role focuses on general maintenance, upkeep of a large school site and ensuring health and safety across the premises.

The successful candidate will have caretaker or premises experience, be reliable, practical and able to operate across a large site, with a pro-active approach to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• The successful School Caretaker will have previous experience in a caretaker, maintenance or premises role.
• Experience carrying out general maintenance tasks.
• Good knowledge and awareness of health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively across a large school site.
• A practical and proactive approach to work.
• Reliability and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
