Job summary

Educato Limited is recruiting a Cover Supervisor for a full-time, long-term position at a Middleton secondary school. You will supervise classes across the secondary age range, deliver prepared materials, and support pupils while following lesson plans and school policies.

The role focuses on maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment and ensuring learning continues in the absence of the regular teacher.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people.
• Confident, calm and professional approach to behaviour management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure pupils understand the tasks set.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Take registers and ensure pupils are accounted for during lessons.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, heads of department and other support staff.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain professional standards of confidentiality and pupil wellbeing.
