Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd in London is seeking a Generator Maintenance Engineer to join a thriving generator and gas engine CHP business. You will service and maintain generators from 10kVA to 2MVA, travel across the London area, and support call-out rota.

The role requires a hands-on engineer who can work independently and with an experienced team. Full-time, Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, with a company van and benefits package including enhanced pension, health plan, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience as a generator service/maintenance engineer
• Strong practical electrical knowledge for LV power generation and distribution
• Experience with generator control systems like ComAp and DSE
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on generators
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
• Attend reactive breakdowns and fault-finding
• Complete remedial and corrective works
• Work on generators ranging from 10kVA to 2MVA
• Work with generator control systems and associated equipment
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and safety
• Complete service reports and relevant documentation
• Travel throughout the UK, primarily within your allocated area
• Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota
