Job summary

Neos Recruitment Ltd seeks a seasoned Generator Maintenance Engineer to service and repair generators from 10kVA to 2MVA across the UK in a field-based capacity. You will work directly with customers, ensuring high standards of service and reliability.

This role requires a time-served engineer who can operate independently, manage travel, and participate in an out-of-hours rota. Competitive salary plus company van, phone, overtime, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as Generator Service Engineer or similar.
• Strong practical knowledge of LV power generation and distribution.
• Experience with generator control systems such as ComAp / DSE.
• Experience using ComAp PC Suite / DSE Configuration Suite.
• Time-served engineer with ability to work independently.
• Strong customer-facing and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness for UK-wide travel and occasional overnight stays.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on generators.
• Diagnose and repair generator faults.
• Attend reactive breakdowns and provide first-response technical support.
• Complete remedial works and repairs.
• Travel throughout the UK when required, including overnight stays.
• Work closely with wider engineering and technical teams.
