Job summary

Encore in London is seeking a proactive Concierge to join our team in Greenwich. You will warmly greet residents and visitors, handle queries, and assist with maintenance requests to keep day-to-day life smooth.

You’ll conduct site security checks, manage parcels, and provide local area recommendations to enhance residents’ experience. The role offers 4 on/4 off shifts (7am–7pm) and benefits such as 24 days’ annual leave, Cycle to Work, MediCash, SmartHealth, Eye Care vouchers and a Pension Plan.

Qualifications

• Experience as a concierge is a plus, but a strong customer service or security background is equally valued.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Health & safety qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
• A positive, can-do attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to handle responsibilities with care.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and Assist: Greet residents and visitors warmly, making them feel at home.
• Problem-Solving: Address issues promptly, from maintenance to emergencies, and escalade concerns as needed.
• Security: Conduct regular site walk-arounds, check IDs, and monitor CCTV to maintain building safety.
• Parcel Management: Handle and record deliveries for residents ensuring a smooth communication and pick up.
• Maintain Presentation: Keep the concierge area and lobby looking presentable.
• Safety Checks: Looking out for H&S hazards on site patrol, Assist with fire alarm, emergency lighting, and smoke vent testing.
• Local Knowledge: Offer advice and recommendations about the local area to enhance residents’ experience.
