Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking a reliable Logistics Assistant to join our Fleet team. The role ensures efficient receipt, storage, handling and dispatch of electronic equipment, contributing to smooth day-to-day operations in a fast-paced warehouse.

The ideal candidate has warehouse or stores experience, strong attention to detail, good numeracy and IT skills, and can work independently or in a team. Monday to Friday with weekly pay and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications are expected.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries of goods and supplies.
• Pack and dispatch equipment to customers across the UK and Europe.
• Store goods safely and accurately within the warehouse.
• Move stock manually or with lifting equipment.
• Load goods ready for dispatch.
• Process stock information and shipping labels using SAP and other systems.
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory data.
• Carry out stock counts and inventory checks.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organised Logistics Assistant to join our Fleet team. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of electronic equipment and products, helping to maintain smooth day-to-day business operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse or stores experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

As a Logistics Assistant, you will:

• Receive and check deliveries of goods and supplies
• Pack and dispatch equipment to customers across the UK and to European subsidiaries and manufacturing sites
• Store goods safely and accurately within the warehouse
• Move stock manually or using appropriate lifting equipment
• Load goods ready for dispatch
• Process stock information, delivery notes, and shipping labels using SAP and other computerised systems
• Maintain accurate stock records and inventory data
• Carry out stock counts and inventory checks as required
• Keep all warehouse documentation and records up to date
• Follow manual handling procedures and safe working practices at all times
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, stores, or stock control environment
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
• Good numeracy and IT skills
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Confidence completing paperwork and managing stock records
• A good understanding of health and safety practices within a warehouse environment
• A flexible and proactive approach to work
• An appreciation of customer requirements and the importance of quality and timely deliveries
