Job summary

White Recruitment seeks an experienced Transport Planner in Trafford Park to coordinate export trailers and multi-drop deliveries, ensuring on-time performance and efficient operations. The role covers standard hours with holiday shifts and occasional Saturday mornings, offering training on internal systems and clear progression within a busy logistics team.

Based in Trafford Park, the successful candidate will manage resources effectively, communicate with drivers, and adapt to changing demands

Qualifications

• Previous transport planning experience within a UK-based logistics company.
• Ability to organise, manage and utilise people and resources effectively.
• Good computer skills with full training on in-house systems.
• Flexible hours with shift coverage.
• Calm and effective in a time-critical environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive approach and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Clear and confident communication.

Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating export trailers.
• Planning multi-drop collection and delivery vehicles to achieve on-time performance.
• Ensuring all customer collections are completed efficiently.
• Adjusting schedules in response to changing customer and network demands.
• Liaising with drivers and colleagues to maintain high daily operational standards.
• Monitoring driver performance and communicating delays effectively.
• Troubleshooting live transport issues and implementing practical solutions.
• Maintaining accurate records and providing operational updates when required.
