Job summary

Magnet in Darlington is seeking a Logistics / Transport Assistant to support day-to-day transport and logistics operations. The role involves coordinating stock movements, returns and transport requirements, and providing administrative support using SAP.

You’ll work closely with the UK Distribution Manager and warehouse teams to ensure deliveries run smoothly. Previous logistics or supply chain experience is preferred, with strong organisational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or supply chain.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing plans and priorities.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident working independently and as part of a team.
• Experience using SAP or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Supporting day-to-day transport and logistics operations.
• Coordinating stock movements, returns and transport requirements.
• Updating and maintaining delivery matrices and transport information weekly.
• Providing administrative support using SAP.
• Collaborating with UK Distribution Manager, transport providers, warehouse teams and Order Management.
