Job summary

STEF Langdons is seeking a Logistics Trainer to design and deliver engaging training that supports colleagues and meets legal requirements. You will lead projects from design to delivery, coordinating with stakeholders, SMEs, assessors and mentors, with nationwide travel to support training and assessment across depots.

The role requires a Level 3 Learning & Development qualification (or equivalent) and experience in both face-to-face and digital training, alongside strong IT skills and

What We Do

STEF Langdons delivers chilled and frozen food to almost any location across the UK and Ireland within 24 hours, supported by 12 depots and a fleet of over 500 vehicles.

The Role

As a Logistics Trainer, you’ll design and deliver engaging training that supports our people, meets legal requirements and helps achieve our business objectives.

You’ll lead training projects from design through to delivery, including DCPC, warehouse and other training as required. Working with stakeholders, subject matter experts, assessors and mentors, you’ll identify learning needs, create effective training materials and support learners to progress.

You’ll also review and improve existing programmes, use feedback to strengthen learning solutions, and represent STEF Langdons at relevant meetings and events. The role includes nationwide travel to support training and assessment across our depots.

What You’ll Need

• Flexibility to support training and assessment activities at Dundee Depot and other depot locations as required
• Cat C + E Driving Licence
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Learning and Development, or Coaching and Mentoring
• Proven experience designing and delivering engaging training, both face-to-face and digitally
• Experience working with colleagues at all levels in a team-based, customer-facing environment
• Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret data
• Excellent communication, presentation and organisational skills
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work independently
• Strong attention to detail, with confidence to challenge discrepancies appropriately
• Ability to use initiative, influence others and handle difficult conversations professionally
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Willingness to travel nationwide to support training and assessment

Desirable

• FLT Instructor qualification
• Experience delivering Driver CPC (DCPC) training
• Manual Handling Instructor qualification or experience delivering Manual Handling training
• IOSH Managing Safely qualification
• Flexibility to support training and assessment activities at Dundee Depot and other depot locations as required
